Project Description:
This project consisted of a remodel and
addition. To secure funding in 2005, RGU assisted the Employment Security
Department in completing a State Project Budget Analysis and Facility Needs
Assessment. RGU worked directly with Walla Walla Worksource staff in
completing the study and supporting documentation. In 2007 the
project was funded and preparation of the construction documents were
completed. One of the main project objectives was to create a flexible conference
room that could be utilized during off hours without access to the main
facility. Additional offices, computer labs, and ADA restrooms were also
incorporated into the design. Special care was taken to preserve the
original character of the facility and utilize the existing green trombe wall
that increases the energy efficiency of the building. Construction
occurred in phases to minimize disruption of building occupants.
